STA 8v8 Match Writeup vs .gc on cp_well

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Not much to say since we lucked out and the scout update came mid-match before it could screw up everything (as patches usually do). In any case was a great and close match with us winning both round 3-2 for a 6-4 overall win. We were up 3-0 round2 and they were in the middle of a strong comeback when the time winded down. Was a great match vs. some quality players and we look forward to another close one next time. Good luck with the rest of the season guys!

STA 6v6 Match Writeup vs [AoC] on cp_gravelpit

Sunday, February 22, 2009

This was just an extremely fast match. We started on time(ish) and both teams capped all 3 in first round fairly quick, we beat them in stopwatch by only a minute or two. Round two we started off on offense and capped all three relatively quick, and on defense were able to hold onto B before the stopwatch ran out. Was a good game against good people, looking forward to our next meeting.

We put a lot of time into figuring this map out last night and it looks to have paid off as we were able to shut down at A both rounds (round 2 they changed it up a bit to have some fun). Was a good game vs. some good guys. Good luck with the rest of the season [S-CREW]!

STA 8v8 Match Writeup vs lc on cp_labor

Was a close match, round1 hurt us as we had to sub out a few key players due to poor ping to their server. Round2 we had solid pings on a solid server and did much better. gg

STA 6v6 Match Writeup vs [Tsundere] on ctf_forts

Sunday, February 08, 2009

I'm tired and don't want to type much, and it was pretty much a typical forts match. No one on either team attempts for flag till uber's. Uber's clear out flagroom, move flag, and depending on where the rest of the defense is stops it or doesn't. I crashed partway into round2 and beta came in thankfully to handle the job for the remainder of the match. Either way, was a good game with good people.

STA 8v8 Match Writeup vs > on ctf_chaos

Tuesday, February 03, 2009

Wow! What a match. Win or lose this was one of the most intense matches I've been involved in for quite a long time. Round One: Granted I was on defense and really only saw whatever came to take our flag, but basically it was a roller coaster ride. Not much else I can say, we were outfragged but we were able to get better flag movement +04:27 - [AR] captured the flag +06:25 - > captured the flag +07:32 - [AR] captured the flag +16:04 - [AR] captured the flag +17:23 - > captured the flag Round One score: [AR] 3 - > 2 -- Round Two: We actually had this one tied at the very end but with OT they poured on and made it impossible for us to return that flag causing them to eventually cap it causing an OT round. +03:44 - > captured the flag +03:49 - [AR] captured the flag +06:51 - > captured the flag +10:46 - > captured the flag +10:47 - [AR] captured the flag +18:16 - [AR] captured the flag +22:59 - > captured the flag -- Round OT: We attempted a surprise attack with 6 offensive scouts and 2 regular defense, some flag touches but didn't add up to anything. Switched to regular setup and both teams fought for touches and movement constantly, but in the end after an 8 minute battle we capped. ...and there was much rejoicing. Great Game Veneration!
